How to Choose the Right Scissor Lift for Your Project

A practical guide to platform height, capacity, terrain and power when selecting a scissor lift.

Overview

Scissor lifts are among the most versatile ways to work at height, but the right choice depends on more than the maximum platform height. The working surface, access route, load and task duration all affect the specification.

Key points

• Measure the working height, not just the platform height
• Check floor loading and ground conditions
• Match power type to indoor or outdoor use
